The 5th edition of the International Award UCLG - Mexico City - Culture 21 has been launched!

This year the Internation Jury will recognize cities and personalities who have excelled in the promotion of cultural rights in the context of the Covid-19 crisis and post-pandemic recovery, and/or that have promoted culture as an important part of the caring system.

We will receive candidacies and nominations between 1st February and 31st March 2022. The application form and the nomination form are now available.

    Launch of the Award and reception of bids.
  • 1st April 2022
    Deadline for receipt of Phase 1 applications (“City / Local or Regional Government”).
  • 15th April 2022
    Publication of the list of the 50 finalists “Cultural Rights and the Covid Crisis: the 50 Best Actions”.
  • 13th May 2022
    Deadline for receipt of Phase 2 final applications (“City / Local or Regional Government”) and nominations (“Individual”).

    Meeting of the Jury and communication of the results.
